The North American Node is responsible for providing seasonal forecasts in the Arctic Regional Climate Centre network (ArcRCC-N). It consists of a collaboration between Canada and the United States of America. Currently, Canada serves as the lead and the Meteorological Service of Canada coordinates all RCC functions for the Node’s domain. The institutions in these countries that support and contribute to the Node include:

  • Canada: Canadian Ice Service, Canadian Centre for Meteorological and Environmental Prediction (CCMEP).Meteorological Service of Canada (MSC);
  • USA: National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA, National Weather Service Alaska)
